چکیده
This study reports the successful synthesis of supported TiO2_Palygorskite nanocomposites by a one-pot dry mechanochemical route. Indeed, elaboration procedure involved an in-situ reaction between accessories carbonates present in raw fibrous palygorskite clay and titanyl sulfate (TiOSO4) precursor under variable grinding conditions, essentially ball/solid matter mass ratio rotation velocity. yielded after air annealing at 600%C for 1 h to immobilization anatase TiO2 nanoparticles (≈8 nm average size) as evidenced XRD TEM analyses. Once conditions were optimized, photocatalytic properties evaluated 3 conditions: artificial UV radiation, solar radiation (UV + visible range) dynamic illumination taking into account discontinuities resource. The results allowed estimation comparison catalyst’s capabilities showed its ability work natural irradiation. so developed photocatalysts TiO2/Palygorskite exhibited good activity towards removal Orange G (OG) dye from aqueous media radiations.

Catalytic oxidation of airborne toluene by using copper oxide supported on a modified natural diatomite
The catalytic oxidation of toluene over copper oxide supported on natural diatomite was investigated. The catalyst was prepared by the wet impregnation method and characterized by using the Brunauer Emmett Teller (BET), field emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and Temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) analysis. The highest catalytic ...

متن کاملSolar synthesis: prospects in visible light photocatalysis.
Chemists have long aspired to synthesize molecules the way that plants do-using sunlight to facilitate the construction of complex molecular architectures. Nevertheless, the use of visible light in photochemical synthesis is fundamentally challenging because organic molecules tend not to interact with the wavelengths of visible light that are most strongly emitted in the solar spectrum. Recent ...
متن کاملHydrogen producing water treatment through solar photocatalysis†
Hydrogen is being intensively investigated as a new energy carrier that stores and transports energy obtained from renewable energy resources (e.g., solar and wind power) to the point of use. In particular, efficient methods that can convert solar energy into hydrogen are being actively sought. One of the ideal methods is solar hydrogen production from water splitting that can be driven by phot...
